Mining Projects
Introduction
Liberty Mining International is a 100% subsidiary of Transol, and is the corporate entity responsible for managing the mining and exploration assets of the Company in Australia and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Banlung Project
The Banlung Project consists of the Banlung and Banlung North tenements, and includes the Okalla, Katieng and Kunmum prospects. The project area is 568km2 and is located within the Ratanakiri Province and immediately of the town of Banlung.
Oyadao Project
The Oyadao Project consists of the Andong Meas and Oyadao projects areas (including Oyadao South). It is located 40km north east of Banlung and borders Vietnam, and covers an area of approximately 868km2.
Andong Bor Project
Andong Bor is located in the Banteay Meanchey and Ouddar Meanchey Provinces in the north west of Cambodia. The project area covers of 363.5km2, and encompasses recent and historic mining activity in the 1960’s and more recent mining carried out by a Korean company.
Mondulkiri Bauxite Project
A study of the extensive bauxitic plateaux in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam has resulted in an interpretation of the origin of these deposits. On this basis, three new applications were submitted which have now been converted to granted exploration licences. Reconnaissance exploration of these tenements will commence in late 2008 or early 2009.
Mondulkiri Gold Project
An Exploration Licence has been granted to Transol in the prospective area to the southwest and adjoining Oz Mineral’s Okvau prospect in the Mondulkiri Province. The Exploration Licence includes an area of hornfels around the rim of a granitic intrusion in a setting similar to Okvau. Surface sampling will be carried out at the end of the present wet season.
Australia Archer River Project
The Archer River Tin Project is located 600km north of Cairns in the Cape York Peninsular. Transol have continued the assessment of this historic alluvial tin producing area by means of detailed geomorphological mapping of the main drainages, namely Granite and Geikie Creeks and the Archer River.
